No longer children, not yet adults – it’s a challenging time! At St. Matthew we remind our young people that God is always there for them, even – and especially – when life gets hard. With regular gatherings that include faith formation and old-fashioned fun, we surround our youth with support and the love of Jesus.

Confirmation Classes
For youth in 7th grade and above, we help guide our young people through the process of confirming their faith. Additionally, High School Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to become members through a process designed specifically for them. To learn more, fill out this form.
Weekly Youth Gatherings
Getting together every week during the school year is how we tell our youth that they are valued members of a loving church family. In these gatherings, youth are loved, supported and recharged for the week ahead! Sign up is not needed – just come any time! High Schooler “Sunday Night Gatherings”
Youth in grades 9-12 meet Sunday evenings, 7:00-8:30 pm, at our Walled Lake campus. Join us for a devotion, a snack and games! Friends are always welcome.
Middle Schooler “Wild Wednesdays”
Youth in grades 6-8 meet Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:30 pm, at our Walled Lake campus. Join us for a devotion, a snack and games at “Wild Wednesdays”! Friends are always welcome.
Bible Study Hour for both high schoolers and middle schoolers
During the school year, all youth in grades 6-12 meet Sunday mornings, 10-10:45 am, and discuss relevant topics at the Walled Lake campus in the basement youth room.
Special Youth Events
In addition to our regular weekly gatherings, our youth have opportunities to seek a greater relationship with Jesus and build friendships with other youth in many ways. These include game nights (like euchre and corn hole!), kayaking, bonfires, bike rides, weekend retreats, Mission Trips, National Youth Gathering, and other fun events.
