Camp Restore Detroit Service Day

Camp Restore Detroit is a ministry serving in the 9th Precinct of Detroit. Their goal is to partner with the community to restore their neighborhood in Detroit. They do this by connecting Block Clubs and community leaders with volunteers. By supporting all the good things already happening in this community, they know we can all work together to continue restoring the 9th Precinct to a beautiful and growing neighborhood. Our 7th and 8th grade classes have put their hands and feet into several service projects with Camp Restore. We have opportunities to do the same! Over these next months, you can support Camp Restore in a variety of ways.

• DONATE FUNDS - Donating funds to a mission opportunity helps them to provide services to their neighbors and helps them welcome the groups that come in to serve with them. Here is a link to donate directly to Camp Restore.
• DONATE ITEMS - We will be collecting items on Camp Restore Donation Wish List to bring to them.There are new or gently used items on this list that you can choose from. Bring them to St. Matthew and we will deliver them right to Camp Restore.
• VOLUNTEER AT CAMP RESTORE - The 3rd Saturday of each month, Camp Restore holds an Open Service Day where anyone can come and serve with them from 9:30 am- 3 pm- families too! Please note that April's date is April 5 due to Easter! Dawn Rupe and her boys will be headed down on April 5 to serve and would love to have you join them!  Bring a sack lunch and be prepared to work outdoors if needed. Sign up to volunteer with Camp Restore HERE. This helps them prepare tasks for the volunteers they are anticipating.
• PRAY - ALL of the organizations we work with need our prayers as they accomplish the tasks God has set forth for them. There are so many needs out there, and these organizations are supported in filling those needs supported by your prayers.
