You Can't Do That!
Have you ever heard that before? Mocking and ridicule fills a person with self-doubt. Your rivals would love to see you hang up the towel and give up out of frustration. Nehemiah heard the taunting from his rivals, but he chose to ignore the choir of critics. He trusted that God would deal with his adversaries and he continued with the construction. Ridicule is no fun, whether it is an audible voice or our own insecurity. We can learn from Nehemiah to trust in God and be persistent when we face confrontations of all kinds.
Many of you have already begun planning your projects; how exciting! Please contact the church office so we can assist you in publicizing your event or project. Events are also accessible at project.st-matthew.org or on the Outreach bulletin board.
