Recently I've been reflecting on the first "book of the Bible."  Almost daily I've been struck by the spiritual and moral failures of the patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob).  It is a reminder to me that, as the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure [of God's love in Jesus] in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not us." 

That is another of saying that, if you have received any spiritual nourishment through a pastor or other spiritural leader, all the credit belongs to God for working through us cracked pots
