The Messenger

Welcome to our guests!

Worship is an opportunity for God to once again express His love to us; and for us to love Him back.  We hope that you get a lot of God out of your time with us today.  If you have questions about this or anything else, please stop by our Welcome Center.  Please feel free to check out anything that might interest you in this Messenger or on our website:  www.st-matthew.org

From the Pastors:

  • There will be a special Congregational Assembly meeting on Sunday, November 24 at 12:30 pm at the Wixom campus to discern whether or not to issue a Divine Call to Pastor Gregory Schlicker as the Associate Pastor at the Wixom campus.  A light lunch will be available.  Child care will be available if requested a week in advance.

Coming this week at Celebrate Recovery, Mike and Kelly’s testimony! Sexual addiction, coupled with guilt, shame and secrets, held Mike captive to his addictive lifestyle. Kelly, in her codependency, constantly compared herself to other women, telling herself for years how she wasn’t good enough. Watch as they share their life-altering experience as they worked at restoring their relationship through Celebrate Recovery. Please join us, and invite a friend, to experience this hope-filled story of healing and restoration. "The night is almost over, and the day is near.

There is an electric wheelchair in the lobby of the Walled Lake Campus that needs a new home. If you are in need or if someone you know could use it, please contact the Church Office - churchoffice@st-matthew.org or 248-624-7676.

My family and I wish to thank you for all your prayers, rides to doctor appointments, meals, cards, visits, pastor visits,  moving chairs so Eric could be comfortable in the narthex for services, the many little things that have helped us through this journey.  While we surely miss him, he is at peace and with his Lord and Savior. - Nancy Booth
