One-night Movie Event - Don’t miss this special event: a one-time showing of the new Martin Luther film at 6:30pm on October 29 at the Wixom campus!

This entertaining new film follows the great adventure story of Luther’s life, packed with political intrigue, kidnappings, and life-or-death showdowns.  At the same time, it's a story about the most important questions of life, including "Who am I?" "What is my purpose" and "How do I get right with God?"
It’s a must-see for any Lutheran, especially in this 500th anniversary of the Lutheran heritage.  It’s a chance to strengthen your faith by revisiting the birth of Protestant Reformation, and to share that experience with others.

Please join us on Saturday November 4 at 7 PM at the WL campus in room 305.  If you are in your 20's we invite you to join us for a time of fellowship and games.  Part of the time will be spent planning how we make this a regular opportunity for us to meet for fellowship and Bible study. For more information please contact Dana Wiberg by email at:  youngadults@st-matthew.org.

Have you lost your stride?
You’re not alone. Seems like we all could use help and an extra measure of God’s grace. The apostle Paul pleaded with God to remove what he called “a thorn in the flesh.” But God answered, “‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2Cor. 12:9.

Calling all motorcycle riders. Join us for the following upcoming ride. The Christian Citizenship Committee is going to show the movie Is "Genesis History?" at the Wixom campus, on Sunday, November 5th at 7PM. Our November 11th interdenominational conference on "adoption, fostering, & other possibilities" is less than four weeks away! (We've sent information to about 150 area churches, and we're hoping for 100 or more people to attend.) The planning committee has three members who cannot possibly do everything that needs to be done. We'll need lots of willing volunteers -- some for set-up on Friday evening, some for jobs that might last only an hour or two (on Saturday), and some to help take things down.

You're invited to Future Warrior Day on Monday, November 6th from 9:00 am to noon, at Lutheran High School Westland.
