The Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly is the official publication of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and is published four times a year. (Subscription price is $26 for the year.)  If you would like to subscribe to receive your own copy, please drop off name, address, and payment to the Walled Lake church office. St. Matthew Lutheran Church Wixom campus is seeking a personable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Manager to be responsible for the administrative needs of the church and child development center.  Core duties include overseeing day-to-day facility and office functions, maintaining office supplies and equipment, bookkeeping, as well as cultivating an atmosphere of welcome and warm hospitality for Hearts & Hands Child Development Center and St.

Do you want to better understand yourself, maximize your strengths, and improve your relationships? We will discuss four personality types, their traits, along with the strengths and weaknesses. Please join us for this 10 week class at either the Walled Lake Campus at 9:40am or 11:00am in room 303; or at the Wixom Campus at 10:20am in Gathering Place B room.

Bible Adventure is for children ages preschool thru Grade 4. We provide a fun, activity based worship opportunity on their level. Classes at the Walled Lake Campus are held at 9:40 am and 11:00 am in room 304, and for the Wixom Campus class is held at 10:20 am, Drop off is in room Gathering Place A.

Kid's Praise is a great way for children age 3 through First Grade to learn all about Jesus on their level. Kids' Praise is offered at our Wixom campus during the 9:00 am service in the Gathering Place A Room.

Our lovingly staffed Nursery is available on Sunday mornings. At the Walled Lake campus - from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm for children three years old and under. At the Wixom campus - for the 9:00 am worship service.

High School Junior/Seniors only Spring Retreat will be May 4-6 at Camp Wolverine. Space is limited and registration opens at noon on Sunday February 18 by email only. More information is available from the Youth Bulletin Board or by emailing john.welte@st-matthew.org.

High School Summer Ohio Mission Trip will be July 22-28. Applications are available from the Youth Ministry Bulletin board and are due April 29. The team will be selected the first week in May. Adults interested in chaperoning should contact John Welte.

High School Sunday Morning Bible Class at the Walled Lake campus meets at 9:40am in the basement Youth Room. This week we will be studying “Answers to Difficult Issues with Carl Kerby” from the Answers in Genesis Demolishing Strongholds video series.

High School Sunday Night Gatherings meets from 7-8:30 at the Walled Lake campus. This week will be a Winter Olympic themed night with activities based of the Olympic Winter games. Come prepared to go for the gold.

Middle and High School Paintball at the Wixom campus will be Saturday, March 17 from 10 am-Noon. Cost is $5 to play and we need at least 8 players. Sign up by emailing john.welte@st-matthew.org. We will head to Taco Bell afterward for lunch for those interested.

Middle School Bible Class at the Walled Lake campus meets at 9:40 fro grades 5-8 in the Youth House. At Wixom class meets at 10:20 in the Explorer room.

Middle School Bowling at Wonderland Lanes has been postponed due to a tournament-taking place at Wonderland Lanes. Watch for a future date.

Middle School Sledding and Taco Bell. We have snow so let’s plan is to meet at the sledding hill on Welch Road this Sunday, Feb 18 at 4 PM. We will sled for about an hour and then head to the Taco Bell on Maple road for food. Bring a sled, friend, dress warm, and a couple bucks for food. We will need parents to help transport students to Taco Bell. Pick up will be at Taco Bell around 5:45.

Middle School Wild Wednesdays will not meet during the Lenten Season. Please join us for worship at 7 PM in the Walled Lake Sanctuary.

Due to Mr. Olsen's retirement, our Teacher Call Committee is looking for names of qualified candidates to fill our 6th grade Homeroom/History Teacher/Athletic Director opening. Some desired qualities include someone with a current teaching degree who enjoys working with Junior High students, organized, enjoys athletics, Synodically trained and most importantly...loves Jesus.

Do you have a special craft you can’t seem to find the time to start or finish? Well here is your chance to spend time with others and work on whatever your special craft is.

Did you get started in recent weeks? How are things going with filling up that baby bottle? (Coins, bills, and/or checks are all fine.) Your "change" will effect so many good changes for the moms, dads & babies served by Another Way Pregnancy Center! At the end of February/beginning of March, don't forget to turn the bottle in at any St. Matthew Welcome Center. (We're praying for an amazing "grand total" from all of you!) It's a great way for you to show love and care for the clients of AWPC -- both the "very young" and their parents!

Many items are still needed to prepare for the exciting day. Salty foods, sweet foods, veggie trays, fruit trays, cheese trays, donations for kids Easter baskets, and gift cards for adult prize giveaways. Easy to help. Visit the lobby at the Walled Lake campus and check out the display with colorful eggs attached. Take an egg or two. Follow the easy instructions and return the items by Sunday, March 18th.

International Ministry is looking to hire the International Ministry Assistant Position. This is the position formerly held by Dawn Kirk. In the interim we have been blessed to have Nora Meyer on staff and Corleen Moldenhauer filling in as lesson writer.
