Greg Finke Missional Lifestyle Training: Launch

Last fall, Greg Finke reminded us how easy it can be to Join Jesus in His Mission.  The mission is everywhere as God’s Kingdom is at work in the hearts of people all around us.  All we need to do is join Jesus while he is at work!

On May 20th, at Launch, Missional Lifestyle Training, we will build on what we have learned and be encouraged to Do Something (LAUNCH!).   We will clarify what a disciple is, and how our actions can better reflect what Jesus is doing in our lives.

Registration with continental breakfast begins at 8:30am and the training starts at 9:00am.

Please register at www.st-matthew.org/JoiningJesusTraining for materials, lunch ($5 donation) and childcare or call the church office at 248-624-7676.

About author Greg Finke:

Rev. Greg Finke is the author of the book, “Joining Jesus on His Mission” and Executive Director of Dwelling 1:14. Dwelling 1:14 is a non-profit ministry which trains congregational leaders to disciple their people to join Jesus on His mission in the places they already live, work and go to school. (Learn more at www.dwelling114.org.) The name Dwelling 1:14 references John 1:14 and the incarnational, missional nature both of Jesus and those who would follow him into the world.Greg offers consulting, training experiences and various resources for congregations and their leaders who want to be more intentional and consistent about discipling, living missionally, and multiplying missional communities. As the leader of Dwelling 1:14, Greg brings extensive experience and a practitioner’s insight to all he does. His clear, simple – and often humorous – insights help ordinary Jesus-followers get off the bench and onto their adventure with Jesus. He has worked with pastors and leaders from across the U.S. and Canada. Before founding Dwelling 1:14 in 2011, Greg had been the senior pastor of Messiah Lutheran in Midland, Michigan for 18 years and Gloria Dei Lutheran in Houston, Texas for three years. Greg is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago (1985) and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (1989).Greg and his wife, Susan, have three daughters and enjoy life as neighborhood missionaries in League City, Texas.
