Alzheimer's and Other Dementias Caregivers Support Group
This support group provides an opportuinity for family members, friends, caregivers and other interested individuals to meet regularly for mutual emotional support and to exchange coping skills with one another in regards to Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias - all in a safe and supportive environment
This group meets on the third Saturday of each month at 9:30 am at the Walled Lake Campus.
Divorce Recovery
St. Matthew provides two ways to recover and rebuild after the trauma of divorce.
Growing Through Divorce Workshop
Especially for those who are still experiencing the pain of divorce and long to find healing. Divorce is like experiencing a death. But there is hope! A workshop is a great place to start. In the "Growing Through Divorce" workshop you'll come together with others who have "been there" and survived. Several workshops occur throughout the year.
Financial Help
Established to assist people in financial crisis with their immediate needs, we also seek to help our members and community to prevent crisis through financial education and financial counseling.
International Friends
Welcome!
International Friends offers help and friendship to our international neighbors. All nationalities are welcome. We offer many classes and activities in easy English, especially for international adults and children. One of our staff members speaks Japanese, and we have the ability to translate materials into Japanese, Korean, German, and Spanish when needed.
New Directions Job Club
Join us as we explore new options and ideas for career changes and talk about how to connect with people out in the workplace to gain new insights and contacts. Come explore your options...check out the Job Club's summer program called "New Directions." A job club provides support, networking opportunities, and a chance to talk about new career ideas and options. It normally meets every first Saturday at 10 am and every third Tuesday at 7 pm. Simply Done
Simply Done is a service ministry that organizes dinners for families in need, who are fighting illness, convalescing from a hospital stay, or experiencing other significant periods of stress or hardship.
Visitation
Pastors or trained volunteers visit members and friends of St. Matthew prior to, during, and immediately after hospitalization, and when health prevents them from attending worship.
