Compassionate Caring entails activities that take place outside the church, such as experiencing spiritual friendships, sharing Jesus in my daily life, participating in a mission trip, meeting with a mentor or serving others on my own.

St. Paul member needs our help

A member of St. Paul, Pontiac needs our help.  This individual has been out of work for the past two years. He tried to have his car repaired, but the cost was more than he could afford and the repair shop sold his car. The same thing happened to his lawn mower.  We are looking for a reasonably good running lawn mower and a working electric stove for him and his family. If you have one you would like to donate, contact the church office.

Divorce Recovery Support Group

This support group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7:00 pm in Room 305 of the Walled Lake campus for teaching and round table discussions.  Currently studying "Love and Respect" (understanding gender differences).  Join us and start to heal from divorce and learn to understand others better.

St. Matthew Blood Drive

The Christian Citizenship Committee is sponsoring a blood drive on Sunday, July 1st, from 8 AM to 2 PM.  We need at least 70 people to sign up to give blood on that day.  If you are willing to help, please email Marc Wiliford at jmwiliford@ameritech.net or call him at 248-363-9178.

Alzheimer's and Other Dementias Caregivers' Support Group

This group provides an opportunity for caregivers, family, and friends to meet regularly for mutual emotional support and to exchange coping skills with one another in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.  We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month at 9:30 am in the Library, Room 204, of the Walled Lake campus.

Then stop in and check out Job Club.  A job club provides support, networking opportunities, and a chance to talk about new career ideas and options.  It meets every first Saturday at 10 am and every third Tuesday at 7 pm at the Walled Lake campus.  Questions regarding Job Club can be directed to Mary Engelhardt, M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and past President of Michigan Career Development Association.
