Our Pastors

Pastor Paul Moldenhauer

Storefront windows let you peek into a shop to see what is inside. Well, if you’re interested, let me give you a peek into what’s inside me. What you’ll see is that Jesus is my greatest treasure. What He has done for me is way more than I’ll ever deserve; and way more than I can ever repay. So, I value Jesus more than anything. He’s so good that I long to be a “man after God’s own heart.” Because of that, I also desire to be a “God-run” person who increasingly lives the better, adventure-filled life shared in His book, the Bible. Finally, my life prayer is that would use me however He desires so that as many people as possible might receive this treasure of Jesus. That’s what’s inside me. On the outside, there a husband of 40+ years, a father of five, a grandfather of ten (and still counting), a sports fan,…and a guy who gets to do what he loves: be a pastor (and they even pay me for it ☺).

Pastor Rob Nelson

I joined the St. Matthew community in the summer of 2008. I have lived all over the U.S. and across the ocean. I was a military brat, pastor's kid and missionary kid. All these opportunities have given me a heart for ministry cross-culturally and a desire to reach those who question God's love for them. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am blessed to be married to Nicki and we have five growing children. Our kids lead us in a further appreciation for the spiritual discipline of prayer…often. I am always amazed at the uniqueness God has given me in my own family and I am astounded at the wisdom of God as he has created his diverse church. Each of us brings our own unique experiences and gifts to the mix. I pray that you can see how God makes you perfected in Christ and important to others. And I hope if you should choose to visit us that St. Matthew may be a church family for you!

Pastor Michael Hansen

My childhood years are evenly split between living in the United States and Germany. When we returned to Michigan for good, my family and I became involved with the Church. As I began High School I started to learn about the Bible, the Christian life, and the infinite love of God. After contemplation and prayer I felt called to become a pastor in God’s Church. I have always loved getting to know people and building relationships. Being raised in multiple different places, lifestyles, and cultures, God has blessed me with an enthusiasm to live life in community with people from all backgrounds, especially those who do not know Him.  He has given me a heart for His people and an ambition to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with all people. Let’s discover together who God is and who that makes us.
