Our Pastors

Pastor Paul Moldenhauer - Senior Pastor

Storefront windows let you peek into a shop to see what is inside. Well, if you’re interested, let me give you a peek into what’s inside me. What you’ll see is that Jesus is my greatest treasure. What He has done for me is way more than I’ll ever deserve; and way more than I can ever repay. So, I value Jesus more than anything. He’s so good that I long to be a “man after God’s own heart.” Because of that, I also desire to be a “God-run” person who increasingly lives the better, adventure-filled life shared in His book, the Bible. Finally, my life prayer is that would use me however He desires so that as many people as possible might receive this treasure of Jesus. That’s what’s inside me. On the outside, there a husband of 45 years, a father of five, a grandfather of twelve (and still counting), a sports fan,…and a guy who gets to do what he loves: be a pastor (and they even pay me for it ☺).

Pastor Michael Hansen - Associate Pastor

My childhood years are evenly split between living in the United States and Germany. When we returned to Michigan for good, my family and I became involved with the Church. As I began High School I started to learn about the Bible, the Christian life, and the infinite love of God. After contemplation and prayer I felt called to become a pastor in God’s Church. I have always loved getting to know people and building relationships. Being raised in multiple different places, lifestyles, and cultures, God has blessed me with an enthusiasm to live life in community with people from all backgrounds, especially those who do not know Him.  He has given me a heart for His people and an ambition to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with all people. Let’s discover together who God is and who that makes us.

Pastor Austin Wellhousen - Associate Pastor

Although I’ve been a Christian my entire life, it wasn’t until I was in high school when I realized how valuable and priceless God’s love for me is. I then felt called to be a pastor and pursued pastoral ministry throughout college and seminary. The more I lived and learned the more God opened my eyes to how much more the world makes sense through Jesus Christ. I have a strong desire to strengthen the faith of those already Christian and to share this truth with others who don’t know it yet. I want all people to know how complete and meaningful their lives are when lived through the gospel. On a personal side, I love running, watching football, reading, drinking coffee, and taking walks with my wife and dog. Thanks for taking some time to learn more about St. Matthew and more about me.
